goliveyourdreams: Random surprise for Qian Ning + last meet up with Lester before he enlists!

hey there.

i somehow blog less frequently than usual and at times procrastinate when i actually wanted to pen my thoughts down. guess that's what this short period of holidays has done to me after i officially ended work on the 31st of july. current feeling - contradicting; cos one part of me wanna just nua around but that isn't really what i want as it will be as if i'm a couch potato living day by day and waiting for time to pass. the other part of me wants school to start asap and to get over and done with this semester before the next one month holiday in december begins. funny, isn't it? it's always human nature to want what we don't have/can't have and once we have it, we either take it for granted or start asking for more.

the past week was fun! went down to changi city point to surprise qian ning while she was at work on the 1st. Actually Lester planned for a supper at Swee Choon Tim Sum on the 1st, but since i can't make it (as usual for supper) Zi Shen suggested that we meet for lunch so it's like i could wish him personally before he enlists the next day (which is the 2nd). had a hard time deciding where to go for lunch, initially wanted to go paya lebar but Lester said it had nothing much there except for pasar malam due to the ramadan period and hari raya season. in the end he suggested changi city point! and just nice qian ning was working so haha we decided to give her a surprise (: apparently i was the first one to reach, zi shen was saying that he would come over straight after his driving lesson but the renewing of his PDL delayed him. in the end the guys arrived 1 hour plus later which was around 4 when we were actually supposed to meet at 3pm! and so, being the earliest one, i decided to find qian ning at changi city point first. was feeling a little mischievous and tweeted her, 'Excuse me @janningning why are you sitting there and using your phone? Supposed to be working eh!' haha and after tweeting that, i hid behind some pillar in level one and peered through the glass panels to see her reaction. lol i sound like some 007 mission impossible agent. her expression was epic hahaha she after she saw it she looked up from her phone and started looking around to check if i was really there in changi city point. but of course, she couldn't see me as i was a level above her and hiding behind a pillar :p gosh i sound so evil here but it was fun haha. decided not to expose myself first and waited for her to reply my tweet. could tell that she was so shocked from the way she replied and i tweeted her back saying that i'm psychic, haha. that's when i started going down the escalator from level one and appeared right in front of her. i sound like a ghost haha. and when we saw each other we just laughed like some jokers. what an epic scenario lol, i should have someone around to video that down and it would be so amusing to watch the entire replay of it :p

talked to her and she told me it was exactly on that day they were drawing the lots for the lucky draw fb contest! i participated in it and selected the chips plus lychee drink, but apparently qian ning told me that was the cheapest food there sigh :/ lol should have tried for the chicken or calamari rings! but one shouldn't be greedy so i'm happy with what i chose (: initially i wanted to get the food from her before the rest came, but she told me not to just in case i won. and in the end I REALLY DID! :D imma #luckygirl92 haha. her friend picked my name from the lucky dip and she picked her friend's friend from the lucky dip! what a coincidence, and i was 1 of the 5 winners out of 17 people! so heng ~ thanks qn!

brought my polaroid cam along, took a self shot with qian ning for the very first time ever since i've got it! refer to qn's blog for the pic cos i didn't instagram it. waited for Zi Shen, Lester and Zhi Xiong to come before heading for some food at mahattan fish market while waiting for Qian Ning to end work. so amused seeing Lester botak and walked around taking photos of his head before they all headed home to prepare for badminton at night.
