the week.

hello there! time for an update of the week (:

Monday: was out with dear to REDS @ orchard to get a hair cut for the both of us, followed by some shopping around. the weather's wayyyyy too hot for us to tahan. haha :p

Tuesday: went to BGC @ one raffles tower with yanhui for an interview to see what jobs they could possibly offer. Met up with her for lunch before the interview, and we forgotten to take into account that it was lunch time and hence peak hour at raffles. The interview was supposedly at 130pm, and we met at 1230pm. ended up eating at some cafe that was the least crowded and the food was average. :/ Kelly was our agent, and she offered us a job at Robinsons raffles city for the toy atrium sales which apparently lasts for a month, and we're required to work 6 days per week. the pay wasn't good at all, 6/hr on weekdays and 7/hr on weekends :( and the off day is a weekday which would be any random day chosen by our supervisor. didn't sound fantastic at all, with such rates and weekends gone plus shift work which is either from 2pm-10pm or worse, 10am to 10pm which is a full shift. we have to stand throughout our working hours too :/ nevertheless, we still decided to give it a try and were told to head down to robinsons @ raffles city immediately for another interview with the HR manager there. then, kelly told us we had to go back to BGC again if all goes well so that we can get the timesheet. the interview @ robinsons lasted less than 5 mins, and when we called kelly we were told that she would get back to us SHORTLY regarding whether we're accepted or not. and apparently after 2 hours plus we still didn't get any answer from kelly when she told us to hang around in town and wait for her call. seriously so inefficient -.- and of course, we were damn pekcek and decided to call her and ask again. then, she told us to go back home cos she couldn't contact the HR person from robinsons! zzz totally, couldn't she just give us a call and tell us to go back first? what if we didn't call her to ask? we'll be waiting like fools for a call that will never come -.- yanhui and i didn't have a good impression after all that happened, and we slacked @ starbucks citylink just to wait for the call. -.-

Wednesday: Swatow dimsum buffet at 3pm with dear and Lester! (: the dimsum is still as nice as usual, with loadddds of dimsum to choose from. ate to our hearts' content from 3pm to 5pm which was the entire duration of the dimsum buffet and relived the memories of our secondary school days :p so many fond and funny memories (: after which, they headed to dye their hair at Snip Avenue which has ridiculously cheap prices for all their hair services. a hair cut for 80cents and a dye for 7.80? haha sounds scaryyyy but they were willing to give it a try. anw like what dear said, they're enlisting soon and gonna go botak which doesn't really matter to them after all, quite true.

Thursday: was out with Yvonne to Kbox @ Marina square! finally met her after graduating from AC, it's been so long. and from her exact words, 'yay! our kbox dream came true after 2 years!' LOL. it was during one random guitar practice in AC when we agreed we should go kbox together to sing Jay's songs cos both of us are fans of him. personally, i don't really prefer to sing his songs during karaoke even though i enjoy listening to almost every single song of his. I usually would sing songs of female artistes cos their key is more suitable. nevertheless, we still spammed jay's song on fri! (: had K lunch also! was great catching up with her after 2 years, she's in ntu doing psychology now. hope we'll continue to remain in contact, my best guitar section mate and guitar buddy (:

Friday: Received a call from TTSH GRMC which made my day (: staff nurse xin ping called me, and for one moment i was quite shocked when i saw the alphabets 'GRMC' reflected on my phone. Grateful that sister Carolyn still remembered that I was looking for a job during this period of time as i went back to find them on one of those days before my sem 2 finals with dear to tell them that if they're hiring they can consider me (: so yay! happy that i've got my job back there and i can assist my fave doctors once again (hopefully). starting work on the 28th this month! other than that, the rest of my day was spent at tpy and accompanied grandma while we watched the drama - 就是爱香恋 i've rented for her. there's no internet in tpy, so had to depend on vcds/dvds to entertain ourselves. that drama is so lor sor and boring! regretted not reading the rough storyline behind when i rented it. just saw 王传一's face on the drama box and rented it cos my grandma enjoys watching tw leng zai dramas LOL. moral of the story: read the rough storyline before renting next time :/

Today: went to Jcube for lunch with dad while waiting for mum to finish her work. first visit to jcube, really nothing much as what GJ, agnes and yanhui said except for a variety of good food and an ice skating ring which spans almost the entire level 3. bumped into my guides junior, huiqing and her boyf! was kinda awkward cos i didn't really know what to say to her, except for a 'take care' and 'see you around'. haven't seen her since i've graduated from GM until today lol. had lunch at chili's which serves western food in quite huge portions and was super full. pictures of it in my instagram account! picked mum from her workplace after that and we headed to jurong point for some shopping. Dad got me a dress and a cardigan (: JP is quite a good place for shopping and food cos they have both there! (Y)

so yep, that's about it for this week! church only with christiana tmr as dear has his mothers' day lunch family gathering to attend (:
