A week of prelims

A week of prelims has passed. 5 more papers to go.

This week, we completed 6 papers in just 3 days. It was really tiring and both physically and mentally draining. Overall, the 6 papers that we sat for weren't that easy, some manageable while some really challenging. Math paper 2, chem paper 2, bio paper 3, chem paper 1 and bio paper 1 are coming up. Sometimes, after the 2 words 'stop writing' was mentioned, I think to myself whether I have maximised my potential for that paper. Whether I have done all the questions that would have gotten me the marks that I deserve. But somehow or rather, despite feeling pretty good after a paper, the results don't reflect what I should have gotten, which is completely mind-boggling. For the marks that I've got , I blame myself entirely for it if I don't do well, that's simply because I know the teachers that we've got for our H2 subjects are really caring and concerned about us and our progress. These are the teachers that I can never thank them enough as they've really done the best that they can for us - ranging from extra lessons to weekly consultations despite them feeling tired and drained from all the lessons earlier in the day. We're really indebted to them, cos without our teachers, we wouldn't even be able to pull through the first year in college.

This brings me to my next point that if we do not do well in a particular subject despite several consultations with our teachers, I'll really feel bad because so much effort used in helping us prepare for our final goal - the a levels, and of course prelims in the process. It feels like we're not reciprocating them in terms of our results, and needless to say, we aren't thanking our parents in the sense that they are always being so ever tolerant with our tantrums that we throw whenever we're stressed and cooped up in our small lttle spaces; as well as all the little sacrifices that they've made for us when we're studying. And so because of them, I'll press on against all odds because our parents and teachers are always there for us whenever we have doubts and probably feeling down. Thank You Lord for placing so many important and caring people that light my pathway in life. Amen.
