persevere ; press on.

Pressing on ; persevere!

i'm gonna talk about the mundane things that are going on now in my life, so please excuse me if i get repetitive or naggy.

this week hasn't been exactly great for me, and i think i'm seriously lagging behind in studies. okay so here's the fact. i failed my bio test. :( this is so not me, bio has always been my forte and its my next favourite subject besides chem! T.T miss fong told the class that there were only 3 passes, and some of my classmates were quite sure that i'm gonna be one of those who passed, and partly because i'm the bio rep. but apparently its not the case, they were quite shocked i guess, considering the fact that i'm a mugger in their eyes. this thinking doesn't bother me too much, rather it's the score in red that bothers me.
was really disappointed and began emo-ing, thinking about random questions like what have i actually accomplished so far in jc life... somehow i guess i'm still in the process of adapting, just like my sec 1 days. but this is JC, super short period of time and is the most demanding. i'm just gonna put all the failures behind me and start afresh! :D ; going to chiong alr, its only 6 more weeks to term exams! i won't allow tests to cause me to lose hope. PERSEVERE RACHEL!!! :D

guitar practice till 8 twice this week, wed 1430 to 2000 ; thurs 1630 to 2000. had sectionals then combined ensemble practice. Glissando is just a week from now! so little time left, so much to practice! although we J1s are only performing 3 songs: somewhere over the rainbow, guantanamera and la bamba, there's still small little details that we need to improve on to perfect the piece. stuff like crescendo, decrescendo and staccato. these make a great difference, and i think la bamba without crescendo and decrescendo won't sound nice at all. dynamics! guantanamera's melody is super high and difficult to play, guitar 4 people are playing it at an octave higher than the original - have to play all the way to the 15th fret, guess how high pitched it is, given that there's only a total of 20 frets :( and the worse part is that our section leader started learning it at the same time as us! D: we've been playing somewhere over the rainbow and la bamba so many times, i think i can memorise it alr and look at the conductor when he's conducting! if not i'll be staring at the scores throughout and it won't be good. oh and there's this guy in G4 who is daniel's commonwealth sec good friend. he is samuel kok, and apparently he's jewel's classmate and pw group mate. HAHA jewel your bff! super suay la, he's just extremely irritating. he talks more than girls do and have to get scolded by our SL every single time we pause to change a piece ; and all that blinking =x jewel was also saying that she's pissed by him in PW! =x guitar camp in school on the 1-3 june, they said the main purpose is for bonding lol. guess its gonna be quite fun :D J2s are stepping down in a month's time, so they're on the lookout for us to hold leadership positions (: can try out!

Band got Gold for this year's SYF, but i really think they deserve a Gold with Honours! Look at all the hardcore practices they have and listen to their nice dynamics and you'll know. jewel showed me a website and others also commented that AC's band deserve a GWH! probably the judges just didn't like their choice piece. =x but jewel you've done well! :DDDDDDD can relax a bit now (:

dinner with cousins and family to celebrate Mother's Day in advance today at United square, vienna. super full, haha connie took loadddds of cake and food. :D got a mini bouquet of flowers for each mum there! (: a total of 8 of them :D

haha i guess that's all, bear is rushing me so that she can read my post! LOL. i'm done alr bear, don't so impatient! :P

alrighty, good night everyone!
enjoy your long weekend and studyyyy hard for the 3 upcoming tests!
LOVES :D
